Apochromatik Book Bundle 6: Be Your Own Valentine

Today we are releasing Apochromatik’s sixth book bundle, and it is a special edition.

On February 13, Amy M. Gardner was thrilled to speak to one of her favorite gatherings of the year: the Be Your Own Valentine event hosted by Chicago Certified Financial Planner Jen Dawson of Hemington

In honor of this the seventh year of this special event, we’re sharing a book bundle that ties into Amy’s presentation to the female lawyers, accountants, consultants, and executives in attendance.

The Moment of Lift

Hardcover – April 23, 2019

by Melinda Gates (Author)

Recommended by Jen, The Moment of Lift tied together my remarks on “Three Hacks to Be Your Own Valentine.” Part memoir, part policy argument on how to help more women move "past the tipping point when the forces pushing us up overpower the forces pulling us down and we’re lifted from the earth and begin to fly.” In other words, how to help women around the world achieve their own moment of lift.

Drop the Ball: Achieving More by Doing Less

Paperback – August 28, 2018

by Tiffany Dufu (Author)

A terrific book for anyone who constantly feels as though you can’t keep all the balls in the air. In addition to some exceptionally practical tips to enlist help, “Delegate with Joy,” and do the things that matter most, it’s a great reminder that the people who seem to have it all together have the same struggles as the rest of us. And that we can always do better.

Yes Please

Paperback

by Amy Pohler (Author)

We couldn’t possibly have a book bundle for an event held on Galentine’s Day without including Yes Please. The book is humorous, but also captures the less humorous parts of creating a big career. It also encourages us to pursue the things that make us want to respond “yes please!” The audiobook is particularly good, with parts read by Carol Burnett, Seth Meyers, Kathleen Turner, and others.
